DAILY NEWS fullscreen Stills

design

These are my favorite Daily News still graphics that I designed while working as a broadcast designer at MGFX. These graphics are generally shown during a news broadcast; either in a giant flat screen monitor next to the anchor, or in a little box "over the shoulder" during an anchor's close up shot. The graphics were requested by news producers, or senior designers in house, to visually describe a topical news story.  Since the graphic would be on-air for less than a minute, I always placed emphasis on clear, unique title treatments, along with high quality imagery to highlight the subject's content accurately.

Each graphic had a varying deadline, which could range anywhere between 30 minutes or 2 hours. My experience in creating these graphics every day allowed me to conceptualize and execute designs incredibly fast, which has exponentially benefited my workflow.
